INSIDE THE COURSE
ONLINE THEORY COMPONENT
The theory component of the course takes place online and guides you through lectures, written content, and practice quizzes that you can work through at your own pace.
3-DAY PRACTICAL
The 3-day practical component of the course takes place in person at the Fit Squad Training facility and is led by our top coaches. It’s a highly interactive experience that will change the way you think about training.
GET CERTIFIED
Upon successful completion of the online theory component and after demonstrating competence in the practical component of the course, you will earn the Functional Training Coach credential.

Yes, in addition to equipping you with the knowledge and skills you need to excel as a personal trainer, our FTC certification allows you to get insured as a personal trainer.
WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS TO GET FTC-L1 CERTIFIED?
In order to earn the FTC credential you must a) complete the online theory modules and pass the theory test b) pass the practical exam.
WHERE DOES THE PRACTICAL COMPONENT TAKE PLACE?
The 3-day practical component of the course takes place at the Fit Squad Training facility (111 Peter Street, Suite 102, Toronto, ON).

This course is for is for highly driven personal trainers, aspiring personal trainers, and training fanatics who are interested in learning our leading-edge strength & conditioning methodology.
WHAT IS THE DAILY SCHEDULE for the 3-day practical?
The practical course days go from 9am to 5pm and include a 1 hour lunch break.
CAN I JUST TAKE THE COURSE WITHOUT DOING THE EXAMS ?
Yes, if you’re not looking to get certified but want to take the course for your own benefit, you are welcome to do so.
